In 2013, I was appointed as a Medical Member of the First Tier Tribunal by the Secretary of State. It is a great privilege for me to carry out this work. The main purpose of the Tribunal is to review cases of patients detained under the Mental Health Act. I sit on approximately 20 tribunal panels every year.
I’ve also done quite a few Medico Legal assessments and reports, both in the UK and in New Zealand and a comfortable in giving evidence in court.
I consider instructions for Family Cases through Clinical Partners
I do a few legal aid funded Independent Opinions for Mental Health Tribunal Applications and Asylum Appeals for those aged under 18, through Mind Professionals
